BCS Launches BCS PassView - BCS's own Digital Document Storage and Imaging System...
June 2005
BCS Pass System
In 2001, BCS took on the challenge of creating our own customized Patient Accounting System. A system that would integrate all of the important facets of today's dynamic healthcare practice environments with those practice management standards and requirements established by BCS. BCS Pass was created and launched and is a remarkable success.
BCS PassDirect
The next step in our customized development was to meet all necessary compliance standards set forth by the enactment of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act commonly referred to as HIPAA. BCS's system development team met these challenges and then launched BCS PassDirect, which comprises our HIPAA compliant patient accounting electronic file transfer system. Working under the development team who included BCS's Information System Administrator, EDI Department Management, and BCS President, PassDirect allows us to send our patient account data directly from our patient accounting system to the hundreds of payers across the nation within complete HIPAA required security. PassDirect has proven to be well worth the investment of time, staff knowledge, and capital.
BCS PassView
The next step is to integrate a newly development digital document imaging and storage system that is directly within the BCS Pass system. With a launch window of July/August 2005, BCS PassView does far more than just meet all the HIPAA compliant challenges, BCS staff members will have seamless access to PassView to view all documents associated with the patient accounts BCS manages. Documents are electronically indexed, filed, and moved throughout the system yet available to all associated BCS staff members within a secured envrionment. BCS PassView will be another excellent addition to the management resources available to all BCS staff members as they process and manage the thousands and thousands of transactions each year on behalf of our clientele.
