BCS President Asked to Join AANA National Anesthesia Reimbursement Panel
January 2005
Frank T. Maziarski, CRNA, CLNC, President 2005 AANA-American Association of Nurse Anesthetists- Chicago, IL includes BCS President, Lee S. Broadston amongst panel of anesthesia reimbursement and practice experts named to review, evaluate, analyze, and report to the AANA Board of Directors the impact of potential and/or current anesthesia reimbursement policy -public and private- may have on the anesthesia practices of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists across all practice environments throughout the US. In Lee S. Broadston's opinion some of the most important issues facing CRNAs today involve upcoming legislative issues regarding incentive and performance based payment, widespread recognition of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists by national health plan / managed care plan accreditation organizations, as well as full recognition of CRNA's scope of practice to allow for the most cost effective anesthesia delivery model across the US healthcare system.
